FAQ

Minor imperfections disclaimer & randomized effects

Dice may have minor imperfections (tiny marks, micro-scratches, or small dings, inconsistent inking) from the manufacturing or shipping process. This is normal and usually only noticeable up close. If a product includes randomized effects (color swirls, glitter distribution, etc.), your set will vary from the photos because no two sets are exactly alike.

Photography & colors

We photograph our dice to be true-to-life (balanced close to daylight around 5600K). We try not to “overglam” our photos, and we do our best to show what you’ll actually receiveThat said, screens and lighting can wildly change how colors look. If your dice seem radically different, the quickest reality-check is to view them in natural daylight (near a window or outside), and compare again.

Can I customize which dice are included?

Usually, no.Most of our sets are pre-built and packed as designed, so we can’t swap out certain dice types for others. Even when it feels like a simple change, substitutions create leftover dice that can’t be resold as complete sets, and they slow down fulfillment (which pushes prices up for everyone).

These dice look like [Other Brand's] Dice?... Who makes these?

A lot of dice in the industry come from the same factories (often in China, but not always). Those factories sell through multiple vendors, and many brands end up carrying identical designs. So, it isn't so much as they stole our dice or we stole theirs as we both have the same supplier (and neither company made or designed them). We list vendors and SKUs when we have them, and we avoid marketing dice we merely buy as "ours" unless its using our designs or we have some kind of exclusive claim to them. Other brands are sometimes more liberal with claiming ownership-- which can certainly lead to confusion.

Are These Balanced?

Depends a bit on the specific set, but broadly speaking: yes, for normal playEven well-made dice can have tiny inconsistencies in shape, polish, and weight. In practice, those differences are usually trivial compared to the chaos of an actual roll. And for RPG dice specifically, the numbers are intentionally scattered so any small “preference” is less likely to matter. Our rule of thumb: if you’re doing high-stakes scientific research, don’t use gaming dice. For board games, TTRPGs, and everyday rolling, they’re great.

Absolutely cursed (in the best way)

Let me start by saying, I needed a d30 to play the Monty Python game, and they're all sold out. So these were cheap, and it included a bunch of weirdos. Add to cart. Even though you can see it in the photo, I wasn't expecting just how absolutely cursed these dice were.

You are essentially getting 3 different things. You're getting a group of the absolute weirdest dice (d3, d5, d7, d16, d24, 30). You're getting two balls that are pretty useless (d60, d100) because they never stop rolling and it's hard to see what number is actually "up". And you're getting one full set of the most cursed "regular" dice you've ever held.

The d4 is a little funny. The d8 feels so weird in the hand, and can easily be mistaken for something else. The d12 is awful to behold. Put your regular 7 together, and you will absolutely give your friends an aneurysm. Not to mention the 16, 20, 24, and 30, all look close enough to each other it takes a detective to figure it out in a timely manner. If you're the type of awful person who likes inflicting pain on themselves or their friends at game night, you've come to the right place.

10 out of 10 would buy again.
